Alchemy... true love doesn't confuse things... it clarifies them. Perception is only altered if it's the bogus kind of lipservice hollywood love... real love allows you to SEE into the person, FEEL the other person in you and PERCEIVE the world on a different level. TRUE LOVE is a gift of the Holy Spirit, brother.

It encompasses so many other levels and dimensions that it can't all be articulated into words.... even the poets can't quite get it right.

i agree... if it's TRUE love... it will survive!
when a person finds their other half they are a TEAM two people as ONE and they go through everythingg TOGETHER... thick and thin, good and bad they always stand by eachother. If something like money can split two people apart then it was not true love to begin with :bangin:

true love is the rarest most sacred gift of all. There is nothing more beautiful... nothing to be more charished than this feeling, this instinct! To feel so connected to someone, to feel so perfect with someone is something that is beautifully crafted by the hands of god.

It is this emotion that is the drive of perfection, the drive to PERFECT any single bump on the road. There is NOTHING that TRUE love can not over come. When two people have this deep emotional connection they have the infinate power to conquer anything that may strike their path.

* if any of you are thinking what if he/she cheats on u etc... when youre in love and have found your soul mate... you cant cheat. Its not in you to be unfaithful. Afterall, that is the beauty of it all.

Peach,

Not just Foreigner but me too. I recently recorded it on my new CD. And before you ask, yes, it sounds terrible.

You've gotta love Japanese Karaoke.

Anyway, getting back to the question at hand. Love alone is what you need but as somebody else mentioned (it may have been Michi or Salem), it depends what that love is based on. Having the same goals in life and same interests also help, but then again, these things help strengthen your love.

Those who break up because of money are the lamest people ever. What happened to "for richer and poorer"

Finding the right one is so easy. I'll give you the advice :)

If you find some1 and you are pretty sure that he/she can replace your parents & siblings, well he/she may be qualified as the "right one".

Does love conquer all?

Is that ALL you need to make a relationship work?

No, and no

And for all the people that said blah blah blah, true love true love....you're wrong.

I agree.

What happens when you get past the "honeymoon" stage? Reality sets in, and reality isnt all flowers and candy all the time. I think also sometimes people excpet too much from Love...LOVE IS GREAT BLAH BLAH BLAH...you gotta work at it, like everything else in life...you cant just except "love" to do everything for you!

Michi I bet you can find a number of people who would tell you they felt exactly what you have articulated here, for someone that they are no longer with. Love does not conqure all, love is defeated by many things, that's why divorce exists.

When people say true love, love is subjective. You ask most people at their wedding day if they are in love, I'm sure most will answer yes. Ask them when they get divorced too. Many people still love eachother but can no longer be with one another for a plethra of reasons (money, family, etc etc). Most people get married not really knowing someone yet still being in love with them. They start living together and realise that although they love this person, they're unhappy with them. Love doesn't ensure happiness or peace as it is subjective.

What about friendship? What about one-mindedness?What about communication?

Love alone is nothing.

Someone once said that love is a mental disorder lol I forget which psychologist said that

A relationship will go a long way based on love, but may not survive. The number one factor in a successful relationship is 'communication'.
For example.. a couple can love eachother, but if they don't communicate properly for any reason, then the love they have for eachother will slowly fade away. u neeed COMMUNICATION in order for a relationship to work out

Exactly and to add on to what peaches said.....there is no real definition of TRUE LOVE. You make your own definition and your own interpretation of it. If you feel that true love will conquer all, good luck in the real world because it sure as hell isn't gonna put food on the table.

If you know that there needs to be some EFFORT put forth into the relationship (no matter how much "true love" there is), and not just omgah i love you omgah smooch smoooch, then you'll be fine..

What you're saying is very true. I am a hopeless romantic, and very optimistic. BUT i have no reason to search, I have found such wonders that I'm preaching about :2hearts: <no this isnt a three month relationship of a 16 year old> We've known each other for years, and have been hopelessly in love for about a year and a half... :baby: <mushullah!>

I don't mean to sound naive... but nothing else in this world makes sense like it does our love.. and that in my eyes is BEAUTIFUL, and is what every person deserves to find and cherish! :2hearts: :bigarmhug: :2hearts:

hmm i agree with a lot of the comments people made...and the fact that everyone has a different definition of love. But one thing that u guys never mention---> being in love is a feeling...that's why it's so hard to describe. How do u describe happy. sad, exciting, tired? everyone describes it in their own words. The feeling of being in love really differs from other emotions b/c it's not as common...i mean u should only feel this way about 1 person. And not everyone experiences it. I mean there's a difference between being in love...and just loving someone. anywho...now i'm just blabbering lol...my point is that love is a stronger feeling b/c it takes more to love someone/be in love than it does to be happy, sad, angry and blah blah u guys get the point lol

Thats because being in love ususally involves BEING happy sad, excited and tired.
