Trump has disappointed me. He criticised Obomber and Killary for what they did to Syria, not to mention the fact that he said that Syria is not an issue for him and will be left alone, then he does this.Joe25 said:

Anyone who ever thought that somehow the West and the Gulf counties will let Bashar and syria in peace is a fool . They did not spent all this money to just quit because of Russia and Iran . Bashar will leave or get killed and syria will be divided and destroyed just like the rest of blessed arab spring (hell) countries .

I highly doubt it's ever gonna go into direct conflict, it's just gonna continue as a proxy war. We're still good as long as Russia and Iran stay put and they have plenty of reason to stick around which gives Assad's alleged depleted army reason to keep going.

The obvious outcome here is that the Islamist Rebels will have their own piece, Assad will probably name a Ba'athist successor if he has to get outta dodge, The Kurdish Areas in Syria will probably just become sovereign and poor instead of independent. Why poor? Because socialism/communism will always result in vastly poor people.

It has nothing to do with Baathism , Islamism and the rest of ....isms. There is two reasons why Assad regime will be removed .mrzurnaci said:
1-Iran is getting too strong with multiple satellite states like Iraq , Syria , Lebanon ,Yemen and it is working in multiple other countries like turkey , Afghanistan , Kuwait , Qatar ,Bahrain and anywhere where there is shia . Iran is danger to the West , arab sunnis states and isreal , so they are all trying to remove Assad regime is to suffocate iran .
2-Gulf countries wants to remove Assad regime to establish a pipe line through Syria to the Mediterranean and flood Europe with cheap oil which will destroy Russian economy hence the Russian support for Assad regime . The rest is just smoking mirror to fool people . We all know that syria will be a total mess once Assad is removed , but who cares about syria and syrian people ? Certainly not arab countries or the west .
That is the point my dear , divided , shattered Syria with no power and controlled by warlords who can easily be bought or destroyed by the west or gulf countries .It will also weaken iran because it will lose Hezbollah in Lebanon because their support come through Syria .mrzurnaci said:

Some of you complaining that Trump is getting involved in the Middle-East are the same people who complained Obama did too little to help against ISIS. So which is it? Are you pro- or anti-intervention? Or does it actually not matter and you just want to complain about America?
