Now that each has been in Europe for at least half season or more, and having played professionally for over 2 years or so, I thought it may be time to compare our top 3 CF prospects and compare their all-time goal scoring stats, and this is where they currently stand:
Surprisingly - or may not so much for some - Leonardo has the best ratio of goals scored per number of minutes, slightly ahead of Endrick. Of course, what this comparison below doesn't take into account is the quality of teams and leagues played for/in. For example, Leonardo has scored 18 goals in 1,640 minutes of play in his current Saudi Club Al-Hilal. If you were to adjust for that outlier and remove it from our calculations, then suddenly his goal/minutes ratio jumps to almost 190! And last, if you average the 3, then they are scoring an average one goal almost every two games, which is far from ideal from your hopeful and eventual CF for 2026 and beyond. But again, they are all still relatively young and with the exception of Leonardo, the other two have had some turbulent times with their first clubs (Real and Barcelona) and lack of limited minutes, consistent play and mismanagement by coaches.
If I was Dorival, I would call at least 2 out of 3 of these players, if not all 3 for the next few NT games, and give them some minutes just to see where they stand. World Cup is less than 1.5 years ago and we still don't have a good idea of who will be the default number one CF for the team, if we are going to have one at all.
