Watching Brazil vs. Mexico , a friendly game in preparation for the upcoming Copa America and it hit me!
I remember for years, no matter the competition or how good Brazil was playing, Mexico would always play their best against them. Olympics 2012 final, 1999 Copa America final, 2014 World Cup first round are some of the games that come to mind.
Heck even in 2005 Confederation Cup or 2007 Copa America, both of Which Brazil won in style, they lost to Mexico in both. Under Tite, Mexico no longer posed any real threat to Brazil, including a 2-0 win in the 2018 WC.
Now in this game, and despite being behind and despite having a relatively weak team, they seem to have gotten some of that fighting spirit against Brazil.
