The dream soccer Olympic final is here: Brazil vs. Germany for men's soccer gold medal and I can't wait!!!!! Game starts at 4:30 PM EST.

Which player do you expect the game of his life for Brazil today and help them win gold? I can't see anyone else besides Neymar. He will be like a fuming volcanoes spewing its ashes in all directions. He wants this for so many reasons:

-he has said it time and time about how it is time Brazil won gold.  So he knows what it at stake, the historical significance that is
-he knows by winning this his name will forever be engraved in the list of those immortal Brazilian legends, even if he doesn't win the WC in his career. He will be the one who finally got Brazil the elusive gold medal.
-He wants this so bad not to Abe ge his team's humiliation at the hands of Germany 2 years ago, but for not being able to play that day. So now he has a chance to actually win it.
-It is at the Maracana against Germany: if Neymar doesn't realize how significant that is, I don't know who will?

If not Neymar, then my money is on GJ, he is on w hot streak and I expect that t continue today.

GO BRAZIL!!!!!

We did it! After decades of wait and disappointments, Brazil beat Germany on penalties and won gold for the first time. And Neymar was fittingly the one who scored the last and winning PK

Brazil winning gold in soccer reminds me a lot of Canada winning gold in hockey in the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

It was the best Winter Olympics for Canada in terms of medals. But none of it would have mattered if Canada didn't win gold in hockey (specifically men's hockey)

For those that don't know, they ended up facing the US in the final (a traditional rival just like Germany in soccer) and Canada's best player, Sidney Crosby, won it in OT, much like Brazil's best player Neymar won it yesterday!

But unlike Brazil, the women also won gold in hockey (also beating the US) . But really, nothing would have mattered of the two nations failed to win gold in their respective national sports: glad both delivered!

Of course, for Canada that wasn't the first Olympic gold medal in hockey, but certainly the sweetest and most dramatic!
