hey folks, look who is back??? this Section has been dead for months if not years but the beauty of AVN is that Ashoor is very patient with us and he is giving us chance after chance to keep this Forum alive... so lets make the most of it...The Parable of the Sower is the most important Parable in the Entire Bible... It has a very deep and true meaning which i would like to explore and discuss.... Here is the Actual Parable:
Luke 8:5 " A Farmer Went out to Sow his seed. As he was Scattering the seed, some fell along the path, it was trampled on, and the birds of the air ate it up. Some fell on rock, and when it came up, the plants withered because they had no moisture. Other Seed Fell among thorns, which grew up with it and choked the plants. Still other seed fell on good Soil. It came up and yielded a crop, a hundred times more than was sown "
Jesus then Explained this Parable and has Grouped people into these Categories: The Seed is the Word of God
1- Those along the path are the ones who hear and then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts so that they may not believe and be saved.
2- Those on the Rock are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while but in the time of testing, they fall away.
3- The Seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they go on their way, they are choked by life's worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature.
4- The Seed on Good Soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it and by preserving, they produce a crop.
lets now explore and explain the four Categories.....
This condition applies to the majority of people. The message of God has gone to all corners of the World, so everyone at some stage in their lives would have heard the Word of God. But, as soon the Word is heard, it goes out from their hearts so they dismiss it and reject it & often make fun of it. Those people continue in their disbelief and their lives continue to be controlled by the Devil.
40% of people Fall into this Category.
This condition apply to people who hear the word of God then accept it. Sadly, they don't fall away easily because their faith has no root. Who is the root? its Jesus Christ himself. Becuase their foundation is not built on Christ, it falls away easily. Its like a House who gets built out of cheap materials, so when a strong Storm comes, it destroys it with ease.
30% of people fall into this Category....
This condition applies to many Christians today who attend Church on a regular basis or those who consider themselves to be Christians because they were born with it or have inherited it from their parents. Often those people boost about their faith, Wear their Tatoos and Crosses and present themselves as proud Christians, but sadly the worries of this life and the materialism of this life consumes them so they never give up their lives for Christ. Those type of people are best called " Christians by name ".
25% of people fall into this Category....
This condition applies for the true believers. Those who have made a decision to give up their lives for Christ and make him a king over everything they do in Life. Often those type of people produce great Saints, strong faith and an ever ending desire to do good and serve others. Their Faith can be seen by all people by the good works they do in Jesus' name. They work tirelessly in reading & studying the word of God and they pre-severe until the very end.
Only 5% of people fall into this Category....
Now bothers and Sisters, i Ask you an Honest Question. You don't have to answer it here but at least answer it in your heart. Have a look at those 4 Categories and ask yourself " Which one do I really belong to? ". Be Honest with yourself and if you find yourself falling under Categories 1-3, don't be discouraged or angry. God loves you and he is patient to teach you and give you all the time in the World until the day u reach Category 4. In doing so, there is one simple condition in which you must adhere to..
" Trust in the Lord, believe in him and let him do the Rest. He will do it because he promised. He has done it for me and thousands others. IF your life is going no where and you find yourself sick and tired of getting hurt, being lied to, having double faced friends all the time, Then turn to the Lord because he is awaiting for you "
