Despite the loss to Argentina that came to the wire, Australia gave it their all and in long stretches looked better than Argentina. Great job overall, considering they barely qualified and not much was expected of them.
 
People around the world are praising us but it still hurts after a game of what ifs. What if we closed down Messi before he scored. What if Matt Ryan cleared the ball instead of playing around with it and gifting Argentina a goal? What if Craig Goodwin started the game and not as sub. What if Aziz Behich completed his Messi move and scored after his Messi-like run? What if Garang Kuol shot an inch either way in the dying seconds of the match instead of having his shot saved by the Argentinian goalkeeper? What if Jorge Messi moved to Australia when he had the chance and his son Lionel Messi was born in Australia?

It hurts but we move on.

For a game this close, the what-ifs are inevitable man. I hear you!
