Three Assyrians and one Brazilian are ready to make the team

ARS-AFF-nya-spelare.jpg

Jennner Zotelle, curses Sarkis, Nicholas Sharro and Mollar Sarkis are hoping of playing for
Assyriska in next year's edition of Superattan.

Assyriska's rise to the top has begun. Tonight?s training game is set to fire the troops against Gr?ndal from div 1. Four new players will be trying to make the team, Assyrian players Nicholas Sharro and the Sarkis brothers and one special visitor from Brazil, Jenner Zotelle.

Ex-elfsborg Nicholas Sharro, brothers Curses Sarkis and Mollar Sarkis and the Brazilian Jenner ? Zotti ? Zotelle will try to take a place in Assyriska's 2008 squad. Sharro and the Sarkis brothers have been in Elfsborg's youth teams and are still tied to the club.

Assyriska have had their eyes on the three electrifying players for a couple of years now. It has become more serious now than before. Assyriska is in urgent need for a goalkeeper and here comes Sharro?s (an Assyrian) opportunity.

It actually feels good to come here. I am an Assyrian and it is great for me to play for Assyriska. I believe definitively that this can be my club next season, says Sharro.

The brothers Sarkis have both experience and are familiar with the Swedish leagues from playing and training camps.

Zotelle has experience from the Brazil?s highest league where he played for Atletico Mineiro. He is one pure offensive midfielder with a sweet left foot. Here is hoping we get a player that can become the first bonfide scorer for Assyriska, says team management.

New Goalkeeper for Assyriska

Rytterbro.jpg

Ion Rytterbro, on Tuesday signed a new contract to play for Assyriska.

We are very pleased and also relieved. A key position is now set, says Aydin Aho, club manager in Assyriska.

25 year the lives in Gotland and has played for the last two years in IA Sirius and was the first string goalkeeper for both of those years. Before that he was in Hammarby for two seasons and before that in Visby Gute.

He is tall, physically strong and very offensive in the air. It is important that a goalkeeper can dominate in the air and we have that in Ion, tells Aydin Aho.

In the Stockholm area, the competition is fierce among the teams to find a good goalkeeper.

Therefore, it is extra comfortable that we have this position done now. It brings essential relieve for us over the Christmas holidays, says Aho.

Haddad Might Leave

Assyriska's forward Andreas Haddad is uncertain if he will leave the club. Awkward enough Assyriska is the one that is interested in him still. I will follow with them on their USA camps at the end of the month, Andreas says.

He chooses to use that clause in his contract with Assyriska that does let him go to a foreign club with renown interested.

He does not tell however what clubb it is, only that it is a foreign clubb. it is awkward that they still want to have me despite it can take a while before I can play. But I have a good agent, Andreas says and laughs.

Then both Andreas Haddad and Aluspah Brweah disappeared from the team's crowded forwards list. there the Brazilian Djailson Viera trained yesterday with the team yesterday.

32 year old Viera has scored 61 goals in 84 games for Syrianska Kerburan. the team that Assyriska?s new coach Edmond Lutaj comes from.

ZoranManovic.jpg

Assyriska Legend Moves On.

The Assyriska legend Zoran Manovic, 39 has moved on to third division Arameiska-Syrianska from Norsborg.

After ten years with Assyriska, Zoran and the club went their separate ways. Zoran was not happy with their decision, but did not want to accuse the club in order to not hinder future coaching role with the team.

But I cannot content myself with a life without football. I have trained and now Arameiska-Syrianska a little bit, and the sense was that I would help them as a player, tells Zoran.

But after that Arameiska-Syrianska?s coach Mikael Rosenberg suddenly left the club for the more competatie Valsta Syrianska, the club has discussed coaching the club with Zoran.

it is clear that I will be with Arameiska, but not sure exactly what I will do. I am interested of being a coach one day, but we have not really come to an aggreemant on how it will be done.

Zoran played only one league game and some cup games the previous season, then he was assistant coach with Assyriska.
