Assyriska Lose One, Sign Another

Not sure if you heard, but Assyriska recently sold Alessandro "Alex" Silva Perreiras to ?rgryte IS (who is in Allsvenska). The move was aimed at giving Assyriska financial flexibility for the 2009 season.

Assyriska also announced a new signing. Mohammed "Momo" Mbye (19 years old) signed a 3 year deal with Assyriska)

Assyriska also announced that Dennis ?stlundh, Pierre Bengtsson and Filip Bergman signed 2 year contract extensions with the club while Eddie Moussa resigned for one more year.

You heard right. They brought in a new guy, a Swede I think. I'm not sure. He's defenatly Scandinavian. He's coming in with a winning attitude but unfortunatly, I think it will be another year in Superettan. Mainly due to financing. They just don't have the sponsorship.

Sadly, they're not doing themselves any favours by ignoring the Assyrians outside of Sweden. In my opinion, it is imperative for them to tap into the large Assyrian community outside Sweden. They pride themselves on being an Assyrian team for all Assyrians, but they ignore those that are outside.

I hope for their sake they change this attitude and begin to be a part of our community.

My prediction is Syrianska will finish 4th with Assyriska finishing 7th.

I think if they could efficiently market Assyriska outside of Sweden in places such as Germany,Australia,US,Canada,New Zealand and other countries with llarge population of assyrians, they could end up having more fans/sales globally then they do locally.

Yeh good idea, I sold Alex in football manager as well, he was playing crap
