Assyrians on Facebook arguing that Assyrian is NOT an Aramaic language

Okay, so we have been hostile to, and differentiated ourselves from, Arabs, Kurds, Turks, Jews and even the Brits on a bad day. Now our people have a new bone to pick with - The Aramaic language, and how we totally do not speak it. Yes, these people actually think that modern Assyrian is NOT an Aramaic language and that, rather, it's a bona fide Akkadian/Ashurian language. And, to them, those who say "we speak Aramaic" are Aramean nationalists and backstabbers of the Assyrian identity. I am really surprised and bewildered. We have never stooped this low. I mean, we're ignoring facts now?

This was the "meme" that the user posted and the startling comments that followed:

Bump?  Resurrecting posts from 11 years ago is not enough for you.  Now you bump up your own posts that nobody has an opinion on?  Sheesh it must be lonely in that bedroom of yours.  Get a life mate!

people barely know we exist, let alone the Arameans of Ma'loula, Secondly, our language is a mix of Akkadian and Aramaic, why not call it Syriac/Assyrian exclusively? Since we are the largest Aramaic speakers in the region (and world), we have every right to change its name. Historically, everybody will always know it's Aramaic. The Western Aramaic speakers in Ma'loula can call it Aramaic. We exclusively call our language Assyrian or Syriac which, if you think about it, is saying the same word since Syria and Assyria are the same. Calling it Syriac is not really different from calling it Assyrian (Assyriac? lol)

Speaking of lonely in a bedroom, how did you go with your weight loss regime? Something tell me you screwed up and you're still 30kgs overweight. That enough will make me lonely and bedridden. Now, now, just because your life is tough doesn't mean you should throw it on others.  :giggle:

You got it wrong man. Calling it Assyrian is one thing (I'm for that), but these people DENY the fact that we're speaking a modern Aramaic language. They think we're still speaking Akkadian, and that us speaking Aramaic is a conspiracy theory made by westerners. Read their posts again.

I insulted his dear religion of peace in other threads. I guess it backfired at me. Lol.

30 kilos overweight?  Now you have really lost your mind.  Where the hell did you get that nonsense from?  Have you nothing better to do than to talk nonsense about other posters?  The most overweight I have ever been is 15 kilos and that was 10 years ago.

I see you deleted your "bump" post.  :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :rofl2: :rofl2:  And you needed to start trolling me once again and talking nonsense about me once again to make your topic relevant since nobody was reading or responding to it.

Before the 1982 World Cup final, Italian player Claudio Gentile shaved his moustache so that the referee would not recognise him.  Neon thinks by changing his name, that nobody will know it is him, even though his personality will never change.

Unfortunately, he has been trolling me for over a year.  In fact, I originally thought Neon was a female with a crush from the way he expresses himself.  Nowadays I give him a small taste of his own medicine.  I don't have the time to go through posts from 11 years ago to find dirt (not that there is any on me) on him.  He does a good job if it himself.  But just little reminders that I can do the same.

gay men and hetero women actually have a similar brain structure, science has proven this via brain scans and catscans. Refer to my diagram detailing this -> http://assyrianic.deviantart.com/art/Gender-and-Brain-structure-679917249

You made that chart up didn't you?

Anyway - Finally got my account back. I was locked out ever since I changed my username and my password wasn't compatible with it. Ashoor took care of it. For those wondering, I was NOT suspended.

P.S. Can we get back to topic? Crocodile Booboo derailed it for no reason but to continue his personal attacks against me.

the image information area CLEARLY lists four different sources....
And these sources CLEARLY don't mention gays.

P.S. Transgenders should not to be confused with homosexual men.

effeminate gay stereotype explains it. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/CampGay
Yea it's a stereotype and it's not always right but it's not always wrong.
There are women that are tomboyish and others girly, of course there'll be non-campy gay guys and campy ones.

I know, but unless if they're trans (or extremely feminine) their brain would not resemble that of a heterosexual women. The only portion of the brain that will be akin to a straight woman's is, maybe, the one that drives sexuality - Since both dig men. But even the most feminine gay men are wired like the straight man - They're very visual, they love dirty raunchy porn, have weird fetishes and they're always sexually aroused. Last time I checked, women are not always that visual and also, they're more into the emotional aspect of sex than men are.

By the by, if gay men and women have the same brain structure then why are the latter generally turned off by gay porn, where some even find it disgusting? Women are not into gay porn, unlike gay guys.

You're looking at this in a very shallow and superficial way. Just because a guy is girly doesn't mean their brain is all of a sudden "female". Same way with a tomboy girl. She doesn't now have a "masculine brain".

How am I looking at this shallowly when you just confirmed what the drawing shows?

gay men, especially effeminate ones, have wiring that resembles a womans brain structure alot more than a straight man but they still retain some of the structure of the straight man with lesbians the opposite... The drawing still shows that.

All you did was confirm my drawing lol

I said "unless if they're trans (or extremely feminine)". How the hell does that cover gay men in general? Many overly feminine "gay men" are actually closeted trans and would wish to transition but aren't courageous enough for the surgery and hormones. They lie and be like "well I can be a man and act very girly" to further their men-can-be-womanly agenda to hide the fact that they're internally trans and would die to have a vagina. But again, these are the minority of the gays. You think that we all have their mindset (literally), and that's ridiculous.

You made that drawing out your own personal sentiments. Again, your sources clearly covered trans people, and how their brain is akin to that of a female. NOT gay men in general.

A crush on you? You're as sawana as a man could get. You have a face of a 55 year old woman anticipating her last menstrual cycle. Get over your high horse. I doubt girls would chase someone as awkward/pakha looking as you. I hope my medicine made you aware of yourself.

Posts from 11 years ago? I've been here since 2011 and started to be active from 2014. So what the hell are on about? If it's about bumping, then it's your problem that you're so sensitive and triggered (not the first to point out that word) about thread bumps. I'm pretty sure "find dirt" is about you. You do make a lot of rubbish posts. Irked that I bump them and make people see your crap?

Buzz off already and quit derailing my threads. You came with your foul attitude on my thread and I gave what you deserved in return. Funny how no mod deleted your intrusive, condescending reply that had nothing to do with this subject.

To a certain extent, homosexuals are biologically different from heterosexuals as evident from the structural or anatomical and functional difference between their brains. This fact further establishes the biological underpinning of sexual orientation and homosexuality.

Acclaimed Dutch neurologist Dick F. Swaab mentioned in his review of literatures that sexual differentiation of the human brain occurs during the fetal and neonatal development that subsequently programs sexual orientation and gender identity. This biological development process involving sexual differentiation is accompanied by many structural and functional brain differences among heterosexual, homosexual, and even bisexual groups.

In a key article, Simon LeVay presented the difference in hypothalamic structure between heterosexual and homosexual men3. Cited by a majority of articles in the field, LeVay?s hypothesis and study was expository and led to extensive additional research. LeVay argued that the hypothalamus held the the key to sexual orientation. He cited that, in male monkeys, lesions in this region impair heterosexual behavior without eliminating sexual drive3.

Brain scans have provided the most compelling evidence yet that being gay or straight is a biologically fixed trait.
The scans reveal that in gay people, key structures of the brain governing emotion, mood, anxiety and aggressiveness resemble those in straight people of the opposite sex.

You can see that only one source compares us to the opposite sex. And it even says "resemble" rather than "the same". It's not for every gay man or lesbian obviously, but rather for the very feminine gays and butch lesbians, who signed up for the test. There are many gay guys and lesbians who deal with emotions in a manly manner and feminine way, respectively. You can't tell me that their emotions and mentality resemble the opposite sex. But yes, there do exist very feminine gay guys who obviously have a more "feminine" brain, and straight guys too btw (like Bruce Jenner).

The other sources are spot on. I've even used them as arguments for religious people who think being gay is a choice. Yes, our brains are indeed different to that of straight men. That's why we're gay. And this proves that we didn't choose to be gay and, rather, it's all hormonal or genetic.

yes, homosexuals resemble the structure of the opposite sex, this is something my chart already shows.

I already know there are gay men who handle emotions in a masculine way, my chart clearly shows that gay men still retain masculine structure.

Why can't you just say my chart is correct :)

As correct as a chart saying all Assyrians have a medium olive complexion and have hooked noses. World map charts usually put us under brown skinned Middle Easterners with prominent noses. That isn't the case for a good number of Assyrians.

Same thing with gays and the opposite sex brains. True for some, but not for the rest. Nobody said your chart wasn't *entirely* correct. ;)

I think you're trying to say personality is different but brain structure doesn't do much against personality.
