Assyrian Stars FC in New Zealand

Assyrian Star Football Club was founded in 1996. The team consisted of talented Assyrian soccer players who all had a same goal in mind, to play soccer and build a true image about the Assyrian community in New Zealand. Assyrian Star lost a lot of players after a couple of years when the team was formed. During the years, many new players came to New Zealand, joined the team and helped the Assyrian Star shine again. Until today, the team continues to win many cups and league trophies. With the love and commitment each member has towards the team, Assyrian Star hopes to carry on towards the path of greatness, produced many skilled soccer players and show true colors of the Assyrian culture.

Fairfield Bulls located in Fairfield, Sydney, Australia. A semi professional team which represented the Assyrians in Fairfield.

They were building momentum and did well but the board was corrupt and they eventually partnered with the local association (Southern Districts) to support them financially from what I assume. They have now adopted the name "Southern Bulls."

There is so much Talent amongst Assyrian youth in Toronto, i am so surprised that we have never seen an Assyrian yet play for the Canadian National team or the Iraqi national team or even the American soccer league!

Came across this old picture from old archives, and wondering if anyone knows any of these players (from over 30 years ago!)
