Assyrian Team in Toronto Wins First Division League

Just wanted to update you on an Assyrian team in Toronto "Nineveh Star SC" winning the Toronto Soccer Association First Division.

The team did not lose any league games. They finished the season 13-1-0.  You can visit the web site for more info www.ninevehstar.com.

Yep, but theres more important things like building halls for weddings.

Excellent news, so where do they go from here?

Their jerseys look good, I might grab one of them since the Assyriska jerseys are impossible to find.

and a lot of them are young as well, my cousin's cousin who's only 16 went for a training camp with some Western Sydney club to Germany, before the camp was finished he was signed by a German club.

 
Man most young Assyrians in Sydney have extremely poor discipline, which is one reason why most promising you Assyrian players here haven't fulfilled their full potential
 
thats awesome news...we should have a thread with all the assyrian teams around the world, see how they all do over the year....

UK team (FC ASSYRIA) are starting their season on Saturday, last season we finished 5th but reached the final in the league cup...fingers crossed this year we will get some silverwear :mrgreen:
