This is the greatest thing!    I'm so happy AAS implemented this idea.

In an effort to better communicate its message around the world and to better stay in touch with its supporters and volunteers, the Assyrian Aid Society of America today launched its official channel on YouTube, the premiere online venue for distributing video.

To inaugurate this new service, extensive video of program highlights from last month's Narsai's Taste of the Mediterranean 2009 fundraising dinner in San Francisco have been made available, including Congresswoman Anna Eshoo's complete speech and Lorraine Davis' musical performance.

Also uploaded for today's premiere is an interview with students Michael Jacob and Anthony Shabbas who report on their trip to north Iraq earlier this year.

New and vintage video projects will be routinely uploaded.

To visit the AAS-A YouTube Channel and view these videos, go to www.youtube.com/assyrianaid

That is amazing, and about time.

Zowaa, and Ashur TV should also have their own. They have too many important messages to broadcast, and they can't miss on Youtube. Simply uploading videos here and there is not enough.

If anyone interested, Assyrian Voice's channel on youtube is: www.youtube.com/assyrianvoice

I think this is great and it's something I've been telling people we should have been doing a long time ago.  Rather than using other people's programs and being falsely affiliated with them, this allows us to get our message out on our own, at minimal cost and to a wider audience.

That's great to hear.

For something like Ashur TV which broadcasts all day they should be streaming live online for people to watch.  Or have it available on something like Livestation.
