Assyria Council of Europe Needs Your Financial Support

Hey Guys I would like to make you aware of the Assyrian lobbyist foundation in Europe called "Assyria Foundation of Europe" (short ACE). I am sure alot of you guys heard about it and what they have done that far to bring awarness to the Assyrian Plight and especially to the Assyrian Refugees in Syria and Jordan.

Probably some of you Guys read the article by the Director of ACE Mister Afram Yakoub, who went to Iraq during the Iraq Provincal Elections (risking his own life).

I am asking you Guys, if you are able to give a litle financial suppourt. For each who spents its a litle step, but for Assyria its a much bigger one.

Any Europe Assyrians here? Just as the Name says its an Europe based Foundation and we especially from Europe need to suppourt such group.

So anyone who wants to give a litle financial suppourt of 10-20 ?, should contact me via PM or email the current ACE Director Afram Yakoub.

Keep in mind Guys that if we suppourt them financial they are probably able to employee more then just 1 or 2 Assyrian Lobbiysts, thus having a better condition to operate.

The Assyria Council of Europe is a young and really succesful institution of our people for the sake of our people in Iraq.
There work Assyrians with a high qualification and professional competence.
E.g. the Director of ACE Mister Afram Yakoub hast the bachelor of arts in political science.

 
What a pitty just two people who have replied on it. 

Guys I am forcing noone to do that, but its obviously one of the limited things we in the Diaspora are able to do (at least). If you guys ever want to see an Assyria, you have to suppourt it and for that there are just two ways

1. you live in Assyria and take up arms
2. you live in the Diaspora and suppourt hard working Organisations to do lobbyismus

Where are the Europe Assyrians here?....
 
Thanks Rumtaya. With the great work that ACE has done, we have to help them.

I will write a special magazine article and post it on our home page so people can see it and act upon it.

It is sad to say, our Assyrian population may seem like a big one online (just look at Assyrian Voice) but when it comes to real action (asking people to donate, post, sign something) I am sorry to say, but we are lazy. Why can some easy things seem so hard for us? why are we so lazy?

We can't force people to be interested in something they are not interested in, but we just ask them to spare some of their time for helping Assyrian projects, organizations and other things online. If anything, let your friends on Facebook, MSn etc (I bet you have hundreds) know about this. Maybe they can help or be interested?

ACE really does impressive work, and all their advocates (particularly Afram Yacoub) are incredibly dedicated people.  I hope they get the support they deserve so they can continue lobbying for our people back home.
 
I can't see anything about Paypal donations on their website. I have some money in my Paypal account (nothing big) and will just donate it all to them, because they truly deserve it.

It is organizations like this, AAS and others that truly deserve our donations and support guys, please consider.

Ashoor, if im right informed, i think they work with ISDP together (Michael Youash and so on) and AAS (Firas Jatou and so on)..
 
It is very simple to set up and it is free. If you can set up an MSN, AVN or Facebook account, you can also set up a Paypal account.

This reminds me: few months back, I had an idea to create a thread here dedicated to all Assyrian organizations and charities and how you can help them each. The list would be sticky so it can be handy for anyone to come back and check it.

I think I will be starting this very shortly.

Nice to see the topic got rollen now.  Thanks for your suppourt Ashoor. I really appriate that.

@all you guys can just do it like I did. I went to my bank give them the needed informations and told them to transfer each month few euros to ACE.

As I wrote beofre, anyone who would like to get the infos I have them and ask the person to pm me or you can just pm Afram Yakoub

Again, the few euro which would be donated dont harm anyone of us (I guess), but it will do great help for those hard working Assyrians. I really now alot of Assyrians who rather go gamble (lose hundred of euros) then suppourt such organisations, but it would be sad if at least those Assyrians (like many of you here) would miss to give that litle financial suppourt.
