How we believe things based on our emotions, and how we are so fast driven into given our lives for others, so cheap.
The title is of the posting is Aramaic Syriac martyrs, yet, if we asked anyone of those whom are Assyrian Lebanese whom fought to protect their believe in Lebanon, they will tell you that their fight to protect Christianity, to protect Lebanon, and they never mentioned the word Aramaiac Syriac. Those are fabrications of whom posted misleading information. Assyrian Lebanese never stood for themselves, but stood for others, and never looked at their own national and political interests, but took care to protect others interest. In the end, we do not have a voice in Lebanon, no representative in government, and not even recognized despite we lost thousands of our Assyrian people, however, we are recognized under Christian, Maronite, and political institutions as Lebanese Christian.
We see all those whom took arm in Lebanon, done it based on protecting their identity. Druze protected their identity and regional area they control, Maronite did the same, so did Islamic Shia, and Islamic Sinnah, even political institutions done that for themselves, that their name became well recognized.
As we Assyrian worked to help others, they saw us as slaves, easy to jump and please them without using our mind in questioning the risks and benefits. Assyrian in Lebanon continued to be labelled as Second class citizens, and they are punished by not having good jobs, nor hold any prominent government position. Assyrian need to re-establish their own self-respect by looking at their own self-interest, and not be moved by emotions from nationalistic songs that even does not (Lebanese songs) does not recognize and does not appreciate the sacrifices that Assyrian Lebanese gave dearly.
It is time to stop supporting Lebanese Forces, to stop supporting any political or military forces, and to look after our education, our interest, our advancement in helping our own Assyrian needy people in Lebanon whom continue to suffer tremendously from economic hardship and lack of support.
