To all you AVNrs who have voted today or are planning to vote please come here and give us your thoughts, your experiences at the polling places, who you voted for (if you wish to share it) and you overal sentiments on this, one of the most important days in the history of the United States and indeed the world!​
 
I voted.  I live in Florida.  Only waited about 10 minutes but heard reports on the radio of people around central Florida waiting up to 2 hours.  I was SHOCKED though that there was an attorney working the line telling people that he was there to help in case they encountered any problems.  Very interesting...

Anyways, I took my 4 kids with me.  My 3 year old was VERY upset that I did not vote for Chuck E. Cheese.  No, I'm not making that up, people were laughing at how distraught he was.

I always vote at my kids' school, so it's nice that they're with me when I vote.  It's always been very easy, and I've never encountered any problems.  I was in and out in about 20 minutes.  I'll let the reader guess who I voted for  :mrgreen:
 
Five of my Anglo-American friends here voted for Obama (most in swing/important states), the sixth.. wont say. This person says they are Republican, but I dont believe them.. really. He hates Palin. All will be revealed tonight I guess.
 
You know what is scary or maybe good, depending on which side you are on: all the millions of youth that Obama has mobilised using cell phones, to go out and vote. McCain was clearly anti-technology, and that could hurt him tonight.

Just got back home from voting (I actually called in sick today, mostly because, well, I'm sick, and coughed my way all the way to the voting booth).  I voted for Obama and Mark Warner for Senate, and all the Dems down ticket.  It took about 5 minutes.  I asked for a paper ballot, refused the machine, screw that.

I recorded this last night, the last 10 minutes of Obama's final rally before election day in Manassas, VA - it was the best part of the speech, ESPECIALLY the story he tells, it's actually pretty funny.


Oh and Anthony...seriously that's like the most adorable thing ever.  Next time just please his heart and tell him that's exactly who you voted for!

I voted. It was awesome. I'm going to Ben & Jerry's to get my free scoop of ice cream now.

Aw, no way!  I just had my free cup of starbucks, but I would have taken Ben & Jerry's over that any day!

My parents cast their vote ever year about 2 houses down in a garage. So this year I voted with them and it was AWESOME!!! lol


We waited in line for about 5 mins (since we voted 7 am) and it was a cool and exciting experience! I was so excited i almost looked over to my neighbors shoulder to see who he was voting for! hahaa

That's so cool!  Even before I was eligible to vote, I remember going with my parents and I never remember seeing any long lines, so I'm always surprised when I hear of people standing in line for 8 hours to vote.

How good that you had a great time! And that you made a day of it (bar being sick).

But we didn't hear any running commentary from you after the video  :giggle:.
 
I just came back from voting. I came all the way down to LA, picked up my mom and brother and headed out to the retirement center behind our house. Hahaha! My first time voting, I was so excited! Went to Starbucks and got my free coffee and all of a sudden, I'm regretting the decision as it is freakin' hot!

Yup. Actually pretty smart on Starbucks part. As long as you're in there, you're likely to buy something anyways. Plus, what's a $1 something for a coffee for a huge corporation like Starbucks? Nothing. Hahahaha.

I think Ben & Jerrys did the same, but I'm not sure.
 
Man I really got the crappy end of the stick 1 1/2 hrs in line...that what I get for living in the Sticks! Got my Starbucks. Crispy cream was giving a free doughnut too did have time to get that though  :beee:

Anyone else watching the news? Why do they keep showing minorities?? I find that strange, would they show minorities if a white democrat would have won? or even McCain?
