Hey guys I found a very nice akkadian dictonary, where you can typ in words in english or france and it will show the akkaian word for it. Its quit nice, since you can find many words who are close or similar to the words we use for them...

some examples

malku : [Government]  prince, king

# īnu : [Human → Body]  eye

muḫḫu : [Human → Body]  brain

nāru : river , wir sagen nahra...

raqādu : to dance ; to skip

ākilu : [Animals → Insects]eat,

eperu , epru , ipiru : [City → Buildings]  1) earth , dust

# a??urayītu : [Humanities → Geography]  Assyrian (language)
probably most interesting, since we call our language surayit not arami :)

find out more by yourself... :D

All of these words are common throughout Semitic languages, not just ours.

malku : [Government]  prince, king (Hebrew: מלך, melekh; Arabic: ملك, malik)

# īnu : [Human → Body]  eye (Hebrew: עין, `ayn; Arabic: عين, `ayn; Amharic: ዐይን, `ayn)

muḫḫu : [Human → Body]  brain (Hebrew: מוח, moax; Arabic: مخ, makh)

nāru : river , wir sagen nahra... (sie sagen auch auf Hebr?isch: נהר, nahar; auf Arabisch: نهر, nahr :))

raqādu : to dance ; to skip (Hebrew: רקד, r-q-d; Arabic: رقص, r-q-c)

ākilu : [Animals → Insects]eat, (Hebrew: אכל, a-k-l; Arabic: أكل, a-k-l)

eperu , epru , ipiru : [City → Buildings]  1) earth , dust (Hebrew: עפר, `afar; Arabic: غبار, ghbar [`ayn changing to ghayn is common going between the languages])

# a??urayītu : [Humanities → Geography]  Assyrian (language)
probably most interesting, since we call our language surayit not arami :) (The name change was historical. Since we didn't want to be associated with the "Aramaye," later meaning "pagans.")
