If it's a matter of popping a pill the night after, not knowing if she is pregnant or not, is it murder or contraception?

If the woman's intent is to terminate a pregnancy, then what else do we need to know?

You want contraception, as John said, don't have sex if you aren't willing to live with the potential consequences.

I could always bring up the issue of rape but that's another can of worms.

If a woman does not know if she is with child, how can she be said to have premeditatively ended the childs life via her actions?
No can of worms. Still the murder of a child.

from what ive read, u have all failed to take one step back, this pill would not be needed if ppl took responsibility for their own actions, let me point out that im not attacking females here, obviously to make a baby takes 2 ppl (without getting technical). young girls these days have the mentality "oh dont worry about it ill get an abortion" and im sure there have been many times when we have heard a guy tell a girl to get an abortion cos he doesnt wanna deal with it either. my point being, neither party wants to be responsible for the 'mistake' they have made. ill share a personal story with u guys, ive never got a girl pregnant, but i know of one girl who did get pregnant, i wont go into the reasons y, but she did. she thought to herself "oh no what have i done" so she got the embryo terminated since she didnt wanna bring shame to her and her family by being pregnant, she didnt actually realise that what she had done thru an abortion is shameful enough, so basically shes managed to perform 2 shameful acts. but hey as u guys are saying, its ok to get pregnant, but taking the pill isnt.............?

the morning after pill is simply a safeguard (contraception) to what may occur, its a way for a couple to have unprotected sex without the risk of actually getting pregnant, yes the embryo wont be born, but the morning after pill is playing God, therfore the person taking the pill is controlling life.

the abortion pill isnt a question of pain or science, its only a matter of convenience. next thing u know theyll be selling these pills in highschools, or at least selling condoms in school vending machines, theyll invent a drink that females can buy at a gas station or a drink that filters a mans sperm so that even if he lets loose inside a girl, not to worry, theres nothing in his semen that can cause damage. dont be surprised at these things

we cant sit here and talk about morality and religious beliefs cos as we know society thats creating these changes has no morals, therefore no God. from out viewpoint, being mainly religious, yes these things are wrong, just like sex before marriage or any form of contraception.

Renee, legalise this pill with heavy regulation? how do u propose that? what factors should determine whether one girl can take this pill while another girl cant? and what do u mean 'less traumatic and scary' ???? so basically were telling females to get pregnant and even when they do not to worry we will look after them by giving them an easy way out? so any girl in highschool can go have sex when she pleases, tell the guy not to wear protection which will be music to his ears, then pop a pill and walla! magic, its gone. isnt this another license for kids to have free unprotected sex and keep spreading diseases all over the place?

anyways thats my opinion

What I meant by a can of worms is that you mentioned not having sex if you're not willing to live with the consequences, in the case of rape, she doesn't choose

Regulate it like make it a prescription given by gynocologists only after the female has under gone some counselling to determine her reasoning behind it. To make her aware of the reality of her decision...just 2 proposals.

The fact of the matter is, abortions are legal here. They happen...if we can make them less traumatic for a woman, so that she is not marked by this experience for the rest of her life, shouldn't we do it?

Abortions are going to happen regardless of whether this pill is avaliable or not.

OK, now I understand your point. Still murder though.

yes but if an abortion is as easy as popping a pill....thats making it easier for gals 2 have one....at least the thought of abortion the normal way puts some gals of having one...

Shamoosey, I really don't think that the majority of women who decide to have an abortion, make that decision lightly, whether it be via a pill or a surgical procedure.

Also I suggested the inclusion of the pill via strict governance. I really don't think a girl will be able to walk into her local supermarket and buy a pill to terminate a life, the government isn't that stupid
