6.3 Earthquake in New Zealand

I'm watching it on the news and its horrible.  People are trapped under collapsed buildings.  Its horrific.  Story still developing. 

Hope all the avners are ok!

I didn't know how bad it was, until I saw pictures, and this is one of them:

The damage is unbeleivable, and I feel bad for the people of this beautifully-named city.

**** just saw it on the news, at least over 65 people have been reported dead so far and many are still trapped...

Last september they had one at the magnitude of 7.1, but this one that is lower did even more damage...

65 dead so far, with 150 still missing under rubble!  People are sending text messages and calling from under the rubble!!!!  This is heart breaking.  


UPDATE: Sadly 75 dead and 300 missing.

Wow.  Under the rubble of the picture Ashoor posted above, they believe they have just found a group of 15 people still alive. 


Has anyone spoken to any Avners from New Zealand?  Are they ok?
