
Toronto police have identified the victim of shooting at a plaza in North York on Saturday.
Police responded to a report of a shooting at a shopping plaza near Weston Road and Highway 401 at around 3:42 p.m. on Oct. 23.
Police located a 24-year-old man in a car with a gunshot wound. He was found without vital signs and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
The victim was later identified on Monday as Mathio Youkhanna of Toronto.
This is the city’s 70th homicide of the year. On Saturday and Sunday, there were eight shootings, four of which were fatal.
