The Assyrian Church of the East Relief Organisation (ACERO) paid an undisclosed ransom for them.

Yes, although no specifics are disclosed, I would be shocked if no money is being exchanged, which is sad and frustrating. We, out of all people, are the least capable of paying money for ransoms. They are taking our lifetime savings and contributions basically.

Well, you can rest assured, that these animals won't enjoy this money a lot. Karma is there and something will happen to them and this money will be gone from their hands sooner or later...
