Shrara is an Assyrian Voice Chat room on Paltalk, and is one of the largest and most popular meeting places for Assyrians on the Paltalk network. People in the room can talk about any topic, although the main focus is on Assyrian issues and politics, as well as current matters concerning our people in the homeland and Diaspora.
The room started in September 2009 and is managed and administered by neena_66_8_11, with the help of other admins from all over the world. The Paltalk network has various Assyrian rooms, although Shrara has been one of the most popular, due to its focus on the most critical and important issues, as pertaining to the Assyrian nation and people.
Furthermore, the room is blessed to have some of the most diverse and knowledgeable people in the Assyrian community, from all over the world. This includes politicians, party members, church officials, poets, writers, authors and so much more. In addition, the room has created a mass appeal due to its open and tolerant policy, where any Assyrian is welcome to join in and talk and discuss what is on their mind.
As Assyrians in Iraq enter a critical stage in Iraq, one that is decisive to their very existence, the room's importance will be felt even more. This is one of few and only mediums available to our people, to come together and discuss different issues and topics. Think about it: from a simple voice chat room, we can reach as many Assyrians as we can, and this will help us have one message and one voice. This can be used to influence such essential things as upcoming elections.
And last but not least, it is important to once again emphasize and highlight the amazing job being done by neena_66_8_11 in administering this room. She is literally there day and night, making sure everyone can have a good chatting environment, where everyone is respected, away from any hostility. And she is doing all this on a volunteer basis. This should be truly admired and appreciated, as she is doing a huge service and favor for each one of us that uses this room.
