-What is this Section all About?
It is with great pleasure, that we announce the launch of our new section, "Assyrian Voice Music". A new section in our website, where you will be able to explore our Assyrian music directly. With over 30 singers, and 500 songs, we hope to make this place your one-stop place for all your Assyrian music needs and experience.

While this section enables you to listen to so many Assyrian songs, and for free, our goal is not just that. Our goal is to make our music more popular and accessible to people. By making it available online, and providing free samples, we hope people will make the next step and buy their albums in real life and support Assyrian singers. Supporting our our singers and promoting our music, are two of our most urgent priorities from this new service.  So don't just listen to the music here; once you like a certain singer or their songs, go out and buy their albums.

-How to Play the Music:

All you need to listen to the songs in this section, is the free Real Player. You can download it for free by clicking here. Once you have downloaded the program, and installed it, the rest is pretty easy. You will simply need to click on a certain song, and Real Player will start playing the song automatically.  Please note that with the new version of Real Player, you may be asked to register, but you don't have to. You can simply cancel the registration, and you will still be able to use the program.

-What do the Letters to the Left of Each Song Mean?

As part of our effort to make your listening experience as easy as possible, we have implemented a new "Genre System", which will save you a lot of time. Basically, we have categorized each song according to its genre and/or dance type. For example, let us suppose that you are in the mood for slow songs. Instead of having to click on each song to find out which ones are slow-dance, you simply look to the left of the song and find if the genre is "S" which stands for "Slow Dance" song.  Please note that some songs are not easy to categorize, since they could fall in more than one category (i.e. slow and National), and for these we just go with our best judgment.   The other popular genres are as follows:

-Sometimes when I Try to Play Certain Songs, it Takes Long to Download. Why?

There are more than one variable that can effect the download and playing of a certain song.  Network congestion, website traffic, and your internect connection, are some of the few things that could make a song take long to play. You can solve this problem by using less network-based programs while you use Real Player. For example, you can stop MSN, and that will make your download faster.

-What does "Buffering" mean? Why does Real Player go on "Buffering" when trying to Play Certain Songs?

This again is related to what was said above about network congestions. Buffering is another way from Real Player to say that it is trying to download the song, but certain barriers in their network are preventing it from doing so. Real Player will keep trying to download the song, until successful.

-I am an Assyrian Singer and Want to Put my Songs in here.

We are here to help all Assyrian singers promote their music, and reach the largest audience possible.  If you have your own professional album, please email us and tell us all about it and we will go from there

-I have found some songs here which I like: how can I buy the original CD?

This is one of the questions which we hope to hear frequently from our visitors. If you want to buy a certain album from what you listened to here, simply email us with the singers name, album year, and will give you all the details you need about store location.

-Some singers have one or no album at all. Will you add anything in the future for them?

This section is never done: it is always being updated with new songs and albums. So while you may not find certain albums for certain singers, rest assured that you we will be adding them gradually in the future. 

-Is it possible to Burn some of these Songs to a CD?

NO! Although it s not possible to burn Real Player format to a CD, Assyrian Voice is absolutely against the illegal distribution of Assyrian music, by ways of burning to a CD etc.  The only way to obtain this music, is to purchase the original album.
