		<description><![CDATA[<p>
(From Mosul, Iraq) was the first known Assyrian to get to the &#39;New World&#39;,  and the new American continent. 
</p>
<p>
He left Baghdad in 1668, passed through Halab, Syria, then through Alexandria, Egypt. Then off to Europe, through Venice and Rome, Italy, then to France and Spain. From there, he sailed to the South American continent, passing through Panama, Columbia, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Mexico, and finally by the USA in 1683

		<title><![CDATA[Johnson Aghajan]]></title>
		<description><![CDATA[<p>
(also known as John Saxaphone) is an Assyrian saxaphone player. 
</p>
<p>
Johnson began to have an interest for music and singing at a very early age. In fact, by age 10, He was already playing the harmonica. 
</p>
<p>
Johnson would go on to form his own bands in Iraq, playing at major parties, concerts and weddings. 
</p>
<p>
Johnson took his professional music career  to another level, after arriving in Canada in 1977, where he became a household name, playing at so many weddings and parties. In 1995, he released his first album, played using the saxaphone: "Irresistible Lips". 
</p>
<p>
John has also played for many Assyrian legends, including Ashur Sargis.

(Born March 1, 1984) is a Belgian soccer player with Assyrian roots, and currently playing at K.F.C. Germinal Beerschot. He scored K.S.V. Roeselare&#39;s first ever European goal, in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Cup 2006-07 against FK Vardar from Macedonia.

AUA was established in 1968 to serve as the primary national collective umbrella for all Assyrian organizations worldwide, irrespective of their diverse political, religious, sectarian, social, civic or cultural perspectives.

More specifically, AUA defines itself as an organization that is out to defend, promote, protect and preserve the Assyrian national, political, cultural, economic and indigenous human rights globally and foremost in the Assyrians’ ancestral homelands (Assyria), against all adversaries that may be either from external or internal origins.
