Hello and welcome to our website:
first of all we would like you to introduce yourself

PERSONAL QUESTIONS

-
Name:
 Nahren

-
Nickname:
PrincessNahren, Nahy, Nunu

-
Sex/age/location:
Female/21/Michigan

-
Tell us about your life, what do you do in general?
I’ll try to generalize and summarize my life to make it a little less confusing for you.  I’m 21 years old and currently living in the east side of Michigan.  My profession is occupational therapy and I would definitely recommend this field to the undergraduate Assyrian crowd. I love soccer, I wish there were more Assyrian women who were interested and serious about it so we would hold our own cluster at the convention.

-
What about your education or career goals?
Currently, I hold my bachelors in science and I am pursuing my masters, ( If you’re wondering how, I graduated high school when I was 16 ;) ).  My career goals are to open my own business in occupational therapy and massage, strictly in the western side of the states.  I strongly prefer California, the weather here is just not working for me brrr.

"Currently, I hold my bachelors in science and I am pursuing my masters, ( If you’re wondering how, I graduated high school when I was 16 )"

-
How would you describe your city?
Metro-Detroit isn’t the worst or the best place to live.  Personally, I live in the suburbs so it isn’t bad at all.  Every state and country has it’s downfalls, many people have a misconception of the security levels in Detroit.  Michigan is actually one of the best areas to make a living and we do make your automobiles  so be nice or we might just stop supplying them j/k hehe

-
What are you thankful for the most?
I’m thankful for being alive and healthy along with my wonderful family whom I will cherish all my life.

-
Your personality in few words?
Outgoing, Athletic, Cheerful Thoughtful and Sincere.

-
How do you distinguish between real love and love as a word only (i.e fake love)
As everyone says the main differentiation is the amazing sentiment you feel at the moment when you’re deeply in love. Fake love is caused mainly because of materialistic values and not unconditional principles.  Fake love might last until death do you part, however,  the only love that lasts forever within your heart is true love and that only flies by once and if you catch it you’ll feel like the luckiest and happiest person alive.

-
Is it the personality or good looks that attract you to Assyrian guys? or maybe a combination of both?
The outer appearance of an individual is not my main priority to pursue but it is a very important factor because without the physical attraction, it makes it very difficult for me to look deeper.  My baby has to shine inside out and I’m sure that’s how many of you think but I guess I‘m just blunt enough to admit that fact. Although, I do believe in the idea that you shouldn’t "judge  a book by it’s cover", don’t completely generalize your judgment on the person’s looks sometimes the personality can make them unsightly but you’re too blinded by their beauty to even notice that chapter of the book, it’s definitely fatal attraction.
-What do you base your decision making on the most: intuition or feelings?
It actually depends on the situation and the amount of time you have.   However, if it’s pre-meditated I personally believe that an average individual in today’s society bases his or her decision on both.  It is inevitable  for humans to utilize their God given feelings to influence their decision makings, it’s our natural tendency to be that way.

-
Do you believe in reincarnation? What do you think happens after death?
As a catholic Assyrian I completely oppose the nonsense.  I haven’t completely read the bible but I remember these words, the only way to heaven is to follow the light, Jesus .  On your judgment day, it’s either heaven or hell, no middle grounds sorry ;)

CHAT QUESTIONS

-
Do you remember the first day for you on the chat, and who told you about it?
My cousin Nina who led me into this great Assyrian web adventure. hehe

-
Every chatter is unique with certain characteristics that define them, but there are some qualities that are shared by almost all chatters (i.e having a nickname) What other qualities do you think are shared by all chatters?
Many of them like to argue and discriminate one way or another because we’re all Assyrian is predictable, but everything else seems to be tamed and wonderful.

-
Assyrian Voice offers many services but the chat and the forums are the most popular: which one of the two do you think are the most valuable?
They’re both but I guess the forum is now the most preferred online discussion board.

-
What do you think of the recent addition of the Discussion Forums to our website, with more than 460 members already registered?
It’s "Hadeeeeeeeeeed", It’s very thoughtful of the webmaster Ashoor to put this much effort into bringing the Assyrian community closer together in the best way he possibly could.  I don’t personally know Ashoor but from the way he presents himself on this website, I consider him to be patriotic and very vital in helping Assyrian communicate on the web, and I do acknowledge the help of his fellow assistants as well ;).

-
Speaking of the forums, are you at all surprised that this many people registered in just a few months, and better yet got used to the place? Of course not, the internet services are being exposed to fresh Assyrians daily so we should be expecting more members to register online.

-
What do you think of the following:
People who change their name to attack someone (done only on message board): I’ve experienced this ordeal and it was ridiculous and very childish.  I believe you should stick with one and your own screen name.  What’s there to hide, you already have a screen in front of you.
BlueIce hitting on every city out there especially Toronto:Not aware of that but he seems nice.
JROK's recent sad posts about his dog's final days: Aaaww  poor thing this is new news to me, sorry I’ve deserted the forum for a little while but I’m very sorry to hear that jrok, I hope the best for your little doggy.  I can imagine how you feel because I would seriously lose it if I lost my cat (little tiger grrr) J

-
Speaking of chatters gatherings, do you think it is AV's reponsibility to hold them, or the responsibility of chatters in each city?
I honestly believe it’s AV’s responsibility as well as the local chatters within that area to work together. Teamwork!

-
what comes to your mind when you first hear these three nicknames:
CAMPAIN,never heard of  Exotic Eyes,  hi, Senalco, how are you?

-
Assyrian Voice has been invading every country out there where Assyrians live, Iraq, Iran and Russia being the latest. What are some of the implications of this?
The main implication is of course bring Assyrians closer, at least on the internet but you have no idea how vital that is to help maintain a living Assyrian community.  Of course the internet is not the only source of communication but it is definitely one of the main ones.  We’re scattered worldwide, our nation is desperate for any sort of communication amongst our fellow Assyrians.

-
What is the biggest topic that has ever been discussed on the message board? whether it was a real topic or just a controversy?
The U.S Iraq war, it seemed like it was a never ending political controversy, but don’t worry I was on top of it hehe j/k

-
You yourself have been involved in many controversies, where you took the duty of defending your country and its decision to go to war with Iraq. Tell us about that!
First of all I would like to thank you for phrasing it in that manner.  Secondly, A practical war has numerous diverse expectations and disputers whom are incompatible.  Often, there are not enough officials to enhance the understandings of opposing assemblies.  A war will indeed acquire negative consequences but people must understand that it is certainly not our goal to destroy innocent civilians but rather intervene and try our hardest to liberate the countries from their evil dictators.  The tyrant frightened many of his people to flee out of their homes and occupations.  They soon migrated to countries as out casters.  The majority of them have to work enormously hard to gain back their wealth and prosperity.  Eventually, the out casters  illuminated and live far better lives in their present peaceful countries than they ever did under their recent cruel and hostile government.  Internationally, some Iraqi’s are illogical of this possible war.  They should not fail to remember and determine the living conditions and torture the people of Iraq experienced and still encounter today.   If the whole world completely supported the U.S. in establishing a new Iraq and a fight against dictatorship and an extra shield and hand in democracy, then peace and liberty among the Iraqi’s will no longer be a fantasy they dream of, it is of course our permanent goal.  It is absolutely understanding that the majority of the contradictions  mean well and are concerned about the welfare of the innocent civilians.  Saddam never was intimidated by our threats nor did he abide by our human right laws.  He was not truthfully willing to accept all peace negotiations. He was a cold hearted leader with two faces and it is certain that he could never be fully trusted.   Negotiations, protests, nor assassination are not effectual, therefore we took appropriate actions to evict the heartless dictator whom was in command of so many innocent lives, thousands of casualties saved millions of lives in the future.   Keep in mind that when you opposed the war to remove Saddam and his regime, you were indeed upholding the tormenter to remain in power. As a matter of fact, he probably thanked everyone who‘s permitted him to persist in power, and that was exactly what the disputers of that war were executing.   Wouldn’t you care for the innocent Iraqi’s to share the same wonderful rights you live by everyday?  I hope that helped make some people understand my view, let’s not make this controversial.
-If there is anything that distinguishes Detroit chatters from other chatters, what would it be. Bearing in mind that Detroit chatters have a big representation at AV. I don’t believe there’s a big reason to distinguish any of the chatters, we’re all Assyrians, we’re similar one way or another.

ASSYRIANS RELATED QUESTIONS

-
When all this Iraq thing is said and done, what will Assyrians have gained by then?
More recognition since democracy is a definite approach and possibility.  Anything is potential in a democratic country, freedom is the key to your dreams come true since you have no chains holding your goals down in a dungeon.

-
As one of Iraq's main ethnic groups, how should Assyrians establish their relationship with the other ethnic groups while still maintaining its status as a recognized ethnic group living within a united Iraq? in other words, how transparent will the overlap be between the two?
I believe the key to any recognition is to be friendly towards other minorities but to never change our historic and rightful ethnic identity.  We were Assyrian we are Assyrian and we’ll bleed Assyrian until the day we all die.  No one can buy our priceless identity.

-
Should our name change or remain as "Assyrian"?
It should remain but the Chaldean name should be recognized as well but as a part of the Assyrian nationality. We only have one flag and it represents all of us.

-
Do you have any plans to save our language?
Send my future children to Assyrian classes.

-
Someone on the message board once said that "we are the biggest threat to our existence...": that is, Assyrians themselves are the only one who will bring their fall and extinction as a nation.  Do you agree?
Of course, Other ethnicities and communities have done more good towards our existence then we have.  One example, a Jewish friend of mine, Jonathan Lewis has written endless articles concerning the Assyrian community in the wall street journal while some of us were creating endless political issues and controversies amongst our own people.

-
Do you see a lot of Assyrians going back to their homeland now that Saddam has been removed?
It depends, I believe the ones who were born and raised here will remain as they are because it would be difficult to adapt to a completely new environment and the immigrants will migrate back to Iraq. However, if we’re planning to maintain our existence, we must all migrate back to Iraq and stick together as one in our homeland and not allow the historic invaders to occupy or rightful country until the end of time.  If Jews did it, we could too!

-
Who do you see as an ideal leader for Assyrians at this time?
Myself? Hehe I prefer Princess Nahren j/k relax

-
A lot of people have proposed a union between Assyrians and Chaldeans, where Chaldeans would benefit from Assyrians' recognized name, knowledge, and the rather advanced political system represented by their various parties and political movements. Whereas Assyrians would benefit from the Chaldean capital and the good financial wealth they enjoy as well as their big population worldwide. Do you see this as a good mutual relationship, regardless of the fact that it may be one where interests are served first?
I believe there is a union between the two, there are certain distgusting individuals who like to create evil and political controversies between them to separate them more  than they already are. A message to the political & evil masterminds care to scatter our nation all the way to the north pole and wipe our existence off the face of this planet? GET A LIFE  Wake up and smell the chai!

-
Last word to all people out there and how they can serve our nation even better?
Learn your language, teach it to your children and when people ask who the Assyrians are, don’t be too lazy to explain.
