Hello and welcome to our website:
first of all we would like you to introduce yourself

PERSONAL QUESTIONS

-Name:
 Dennis

-Nickname:
 BLUEICE

-Sex/age/location:
19/M/Chicago

-Tell us about your life, what do you do in general?
Well , I am currently a full time student in college, and I am not yet clear on what i want to major in but I know its defiantly something in the field of law.

-What about your education or career goals?
Well so far I am a freshman in college and I hope to get my bachelors degree.

-You live in Chicago which is sometimes called the "Rough tough city". How has that influenced your behaviour and attitude? knowing that Chicago is a very multicultural city?
Well first of all let me start off by saying I love this city and i love the people here and the multi ethnic groups that live
here make it more interesting. As far as the city having an impact on my behavior or attitude, I think I'd still be the same no mater where i lived, I'm just a very social person and what other place is more social than this big city.

"I try to be fair, but sometimes I let my emotions get the best of me ."

-You were born in the U.S, yet your ability to speak Assyrian is very profound and good. Tell us a bit about that?
thanks, but i owe it all to my parents, cause when I was growing up if i said any word in English in the house I'd get whacked so hard id forget what country I was in. I think that if you don't speak your own language, your basically nothing, or your considered trailer trash, so ill make sure my kids will speak Assyrian.

-Your personality in few words?
hmm....talkative (sometimes a bit too much) humorous (on most occasions) loyal, friendly, ...and the rest is up to the
people that know me best.

-What do you like about Assyrian girls?
Everything, what's not to like about them?

- Is it the personality or good looks that attract you to Assyrian girls? or maybe a combination of both?
I would definitely say a combination of both...you got to have balance in everything, cause if you got a gorgeous
babe with no brains then your screwed, and if you got a genius chick that looks like Anna Nicole smith ..then god help you

-Are you a fair person? do you extend that to life on the internet especially on chat and discussions?
I try to be fair, but sometimes I let my emotions get the best of me .

-What does money mean to you? do you think it is just a means to get to something else?

Money is everything, without money , your nothing, money is power especially in this country, its the survival of the fittest when it comes to fitting in society...if your poor your not welcome in this kind of society. hate to say it but its the truth, and sometimes the truth hurts.

-What is the ultimate good and happiness according to you?
Love and Money... combined they can make a dangerous mixture or can make a very stable and beautiful life.

-What is the difference between your relationship with your family members and your best friends?
hmm..not too much difference since my best friend is like my brother, aside from the fact that I'm probably more open with my friend on personal subjects.

CHAT QUESTIONS

-Do you remember the first day for you on the chat, and who told you about it?
hmm i think it was about 2 years ago...and i don't even remember how I got here... must have been a stray link that got me to this dope site... but I've been here ever since.

-Most of your messages on the message board get posted after mid-night. Why is that?
I guess I like the grave yard shift

-Which one is more useful for Assyrians? the text chat or message board?
well i like both but , i like going to message board and posting something and then leaving and coming back to find people posted back is like opening a christmas present cause you don't know what you'll get. usually someone is going to try to be a wise guy and try to attack me, but don't worry I take care of that...

-In less than 1 year some 10-20 couples found love on our community and some of them have even got married. What is your take on that? moreover, do you think online love is possible?
I'm finding it hard to even believe that love still exists so I don't even know how to explain internet love. I don't
think it works out.

-Some of your posts on the message board are quiet interesting yet the way in which they are posted is not. That is you take little time to modify your posts or to make sure that they are proofread!
Nasha is this a question?? I'm getting in A in englihs, calm down

-Do you take the internet seriously or not? if you don't, does that mean your opinion on the message board should not be taken seriously?
I take things serious when they are coming from serious people and not kids.

-What has the message board helped you with personally?
 hmm arguing and deliberating.

-What comes to your mind when you first hear these three nicknames:
Audacious, Tina, Roman
..
(audacious)has more info than aljazeera, (Tina)shes a girl, (roman)hes a guy

-Do you think there is any certain individuals on the internet that make a positive impact?
many of'em make a positive impact..cause i think that every single person around you plays a role in your life and they have a big impact on you.

-What is the biggest topic that has ever been discussed on the message board? whether it was a real topic or just a controversy?
I think the September 11 issue.

-What topics do you think should be discussed more on the message board to give it a better image knowing that we have a lot of non-Assyrians coming on there occasionally.

I think we should talk more about business and what are good ideas to be an entrepreneur. you know sophisticated topics not just about how patriotic of an Assyrian you are or whoever is.

-What does the nickname BlueIce mean or why did you choose to use it?
well i wanted BLUEYEZ at first but frigin msn didn't let me get it cause I think someone already had it or whatever. BLUE is the color if my eyes and ICE rhymes with eyes and I like winter. it just had a good ring to it I guess.

-And finally, the Assyrian Voice will soon celebrate its one millionth visitor. Any suggestions for any special celebration?
hmm i say you buy all of the visitors kaftah kabob ou riza and treat us at the local Assyrian restaurant...either that or just make a new cover web page for the begging of the site symbolizing 1 million people.

ASSYRIANS RELATED QUESTIONS

-Where do you see Assyrians in the future? do you think what they are doing right now will help them have a better future?
I hope for the best , but the future doesn't seem too bright if we cant get along now... what you do now reflects on the future my friend, and so far were going down hill, especially with some of us marrying out of our nation.

-A lot of developments happened recently that concern the Assyrians. Bush's mentioning of Assyrians in his speech as well many other TV interviews with different Assyrian leaders. Do you see that as something normal or a good step forward?
To me , it doesn't change anything; just cause they say the word "assyrian" on TV doesn't mean we have to jump for joy...this is a beurocratic government and each country fights for its own benefits and not the benefits of other nations..why would America want to help Assyrians if we got nothing to offer them that they want such as oil or other natural resources.. think about it.

Do you think every Assyrian should get an education?
Hell frigin yeah, instead of gangbangin and rollin on dubs, we should go get a degree and be in the government and maybe then we can have enough power to change the bills in congress to help us be an independent nation...the way we are now, whose going to give us a country? You can be the toughest person, but if you don't use your mind, you'll get run over.

-How much trust can Assyrians put in their church to lead them in these rough times?
I guess if you can't trust the church then who can you trust?

What do you say to Assyrians who know the Assyrian language yet choose not to speak it even with their fellow Assyrians?
well its alright if you choose not to speak it around you Assyrian friends because the Assyrian language is missing a lot of words we use in our conversations and we might not know the word, but it wouldn't hurt if you threw in a few Assyrian words every few sentences like I do. Nasha you know what I'm saying?

-What is the most thing you are proud of in being Assyrian? i.e. history, language etc...
well I think I'm proud of being almost a member of a race that didn't die out like the dinosaurs did and our rich culture and history are amazing. Our culture is one of the best and our people have a lot of morals and family values.

-How do you show your Assyrian pride? what prevent you from showing it?
By learning to speak Assyrian and never forgetting it. and keeping with our traditions. i think that is the best pride you can have..because if you are patriotic and wear Assyrian flags all over you but don't speak Assyrian, and don't do any of our traditional things then you got no pride.  there's pride from the inside and there's pride form the outside. I choose to do it on the inside.

-What is the biggest threat that Assyrians face at this time?
NIKHRAYEH(Non-Assyrians) if we keep marryin nikhrayeh and having their kids...there goes thousands of years history down the drain

-Who do you see as an ideal leader for Assyrians at this time?
Any one with a Masters Degree or higher and is in Law whether it is a lawyer, a judge, or someone in the government well educated enough to represent us. and someone that can speak fluent Assyrian and English.

-Last word to all people out there and how they can serve our nation even better?
"Actions Speak Louder Than Words" if you want to be patriotic.. by all means go for it..but don't just say it...do it..and it doesn't mean going and whopping someone's a*ss when they talk bad about Assyrians. Every one talks smack about the Jews...but someone tell me how they're doing?

MISCELLANEOUS  QUESTIONS

-Do you think short hand English being used on the internet is a threat to the language?
Nah i dont think so..if your taught at home at a young age..thats no problem

-What three websites do you visit on a daily basis?
hmm i dont even know if i can say it , since this is a family based website....nahh im kiddin...actually i visit any site i need to do research on...like if i see something new or hear about something i go research it and try to find out
as much as possible on it..ill tell you that im on www.google.com all day searching for stuff.

 Nasha, they're chatting

-What would you do if you win a lottery of 5 million dollars? what would you spend the money on or save it for?
mannn (dreamin about it every day) first of all id take care of my parents cause they took care of me for 19
years...id buy myself a house and a BMW , well a few Beemers...and I would go and be an entrepreneur and open up my own stores...and basically buy and sell property...and if a nice girl happens to come along..ill marry her

-Any good Assyrian singers that impress you at this time?
hmm..have you heard johnnys(J-ROK) voice lately?? man he got competetion with evin aghassi..ask him about his latest hit "walk like james"..

What do you think of dreams? what is your best explanation as to what they are the result of?
man my pysch teacher was tellin us about dreams and what they mean..i think he said something about manifestation of of our thoughts..so whatever you were thinking of your dream will manifest it..say for example...you are running away from a tiger in yoru dream..taht is you running away from responsibilities or runing away from something yoru trying to hide.

What do you think of the following figures?
Queen Shamiran, Anwar Oshana, Saddam Hussien..

Queen Shamiran i have not read too much about , but she was an assyrian queen so im proud of her..Anwar oshana is one of our best assyrian boxers and im also proud of him...saddam hussien on the other hand im not too proud
of..although i give him some credit for standin up to america...but still i think hes a bad dictator and should be terminated.
