Assyrian New Year Celebration Pictures
« on: April 03, 2012, 12:02:42 AM »
I took these pictures from various websites across the web. I have been following April 1 celebration for over a decade now and looking at the pictures, this year seems to be one of the best in terms of attendance.

Baghdad, Iraq Zowaa headquarters

Qamishly, Syria

Dohuk, Iraq

Better a "Zowaa" celebration on kha b nissan than a Kurdish one...

I''m a huge Zowaa supporter...so it wasn't an attack on them.
I think on the ONE DAY we are celebrating Assyrian New year this was a bit too much of only Zowaa colors and support. it does not look like an Assyrian New Year event at ALL.

They've looked the same for the last few years, minus, all of the Kurdish flags we'd seen in previous years.
