« on: April 09, 2011, 01:18:40 AM »
Thanks to our new member Nohra St. from Nohadra, Iraq, we were able to get these amazing pictures and videos of the Assyrian new year parade in Nohadra. We greatly appreciate you sending us these pictures and videos and hope others do the same too, since this will ensure as many people will see them on AVN as possible. Enjoy them, and be sure to watch the first video in its entirety, it is very inspirational and funny!

I think the love of Zowaa in Iraq (in Nohadra especially) and the love of Assyrianism as a whole, is much greater than we think. Just look at these pictures and videos. Our people in the homeland are doing an amazing job. We just have to support them. And we just wish their numbers were a little bit bigger than what we have now, given all those who have left.

Each one of these young people in these celebrations and parade, have a great pride and love for their nation, and we have a lot of pride and confidence in them. They are the future of Assyria.

here are some great pictures of the ha nison festival in beirut:

like it. i hope that they can go out of church in future and become an assyrian movement in lebanon of every sect (they have the potencial, if they are able to organize such a festival!).

I find the viedeos fun as they mostly contain Zowaa stuff...

It probably should be less Zoowanaized, but more just Assyrian focused...i.e. Assyrian New Year... :D

You can't force people to now bring their Zowaa flags. People can do and bring what they want!
