In Nov/2009, the Assyrian pretty girl Jessica Wardeh was awarded as the "Miss Universities of Lebanon", and now she's running for "Miss Lebanon" -2010.

The competition will be next Friday (July/09) live on LBC and LBCI channels, at 9:00 PM (Beirut Time)

I hope she wins, but man these women in Lebanon have to stop all making themselves look the same.

Arabs don't look like that.

I've probably seen more Arabs than you have as I live in a country full of them.

You could though ask why she looks like a Lebanese which is an Arab per Western defnition but definitely not by phenotype.  She could easily fit in countries such as Spain, Italy, Greece, Albania, Serbia, Turkey etc.

Considering we have about 300,000 Lebanese people here in Australia, I would say we have more. This is of course not including other Arabs.

I don't care what your definition of Lebanese or Arab is. She is going for an Arab look. End of.  There was no need to start a discussion out of this.

300,000 out of 22 million is not much compared to 200,000 out of 9 million.

It still is not an Arab look, her phenotype and most Lebanese people's phenotype differ a lot of from genuine Arabs. And it is not merely my definition, this is an established definition.

She is going for the Arab look. I.e. make up, hair... Never said she looks Arab.

Or should I be even more specific?

It still isn't an Arab look, it doesn't exist in Saudi Arabia, Yemen or Qatar who are all genuine Arab countries while Lebanon is not.

But no, that description is enough.

Okay I know what you mean, but you forgot if you live in a country you will be having same style of the people that live around you and dress just like them? not everyone is unique :)

Mari, don't they have rules that when they want to become Miss Lebanon or any other country should be all natural looking  ??

Salem, for some reason I don't see her very pretty, she is just average looking.

I don't mean she looks like a regular arab. I'm referring to those female arabic singers who all look the same. Very beautiful but the same.

How sweet of you to finally realise your level of intelligence isn't quite enough to discuss such matters.

I don't know if they have that rule but I think they should! I think they should judge the girls with no make up first then put them into the competition...
