NRL Season kick off
« on: March 08, 2006, 06:16:26 PM »
I wish there were more Aussies on this site

Round 1 set to kick off March 10th

http://sportsaustralia.com/league/latest_results.html

My teams the Roosters but we're a few key players short this season but we did gain Braith Anasta and we still have Anthony Minichiello and Craig Wing...o0o la la

I'll probably be the only one posting in this thread  :lmao: but my picks for round 1 are:

Wests Tigers Vs Dragons

Knights Vs Eels

Bulldogs Vs Panthers UNFORTUNATELY

Sea Eagles Vs Raiders

Warriors Vs Storm

Broncos Vs Cowboys tough pick from the Queenslanders but I think the Cowboys will come out strong

Rabbitohs Vs Roosters All my Assyros will be on this game (alasas)

If you were wondering why I like my Footy...Craig Wing *DROOL*

PARRA!!!!!!!!!

I have been a Parra fan with Parramattiude all my life and watching them live at Parramatta Stadium is one of the few things I miss about not being there.  The Parra/Newcastle game will be interesting considering the 2 coaches will switch teams at the end of the year.

Roosters?  I thought only the Jews supported them.
Back in Darwin for the 2nd time in my life.  Originally from Sydney (Fairfield area), lived in Vanuatu, Japan (twice), Thailand and Darwin once previously.  Western Sydney Wanderers fan as well as Parramatta Eels.  Veteran of 3 World Cups (*1994, 2006 and 2010).

I know what you mean Moja...I loved going to watch the Roosters play at Telstra Stadium against the ugly Bulldogs...my husband, Luke Ricketson even started a fight and believe you me, there were many Roosters supporters that were anything by Jewish...many Assyrians too

the times, they are a changing

West Tigers beat St. George Illawarra...first prediction is right...

for all those that are interested...we might have a tipping comp.

All those that want to play put in 100  :assyros: the person with the highest score at the end of the season gets the pot of  :assyros:

so far 4 people have expressed interest...hoping to get some more...since no one has made their picks for this first round...IF THIS GOES AHEAD, all players will be awarded 7 points. It would be interesting if Non-Aussies played

I was also thinking about awarding people 1 point if they choose the favourite and they win and 2 points if the go for the underdog in the match and they win...whatchya think? Might make things more interesting
