I dont think suroyo/suraya means assyrian because maloula people call themselves suroy.... But l do believe they are Arameans and we are assyrians.

suroy/suroyo/suraya is an alternative or short form of "suryaya/suryoyo" which means "Syrian".

Beside the Kurds must then also accept that there are other northwestern iranians that are the descendants of the  Medes.

Can someone explain to me why the Kurds cant be descendants of the Medes???  They are both northwestern iranians.... I know that connection is possible but they didnt prove how Medes became kurd, but can we accept kurdish connection With the Medes?
