God Bless Mar Dinkha, all the Bishops of every Church and God bless all those who spread the Good News.
Mate, you gota be kidding yourself... thats all i will say .... So much for spreading the good news.... its been nothing but bad news since the day Man decided to transform the church into a home run Business and filthy politics , replacing GOD's ways with human traditions.... and u want them to spread it?
they cant even get Salvation which is the most basic yet most serious thing in christianty right... and u want them to spread it? So help me GOD
We've come a long way love, and it's nice to agree on certain things. I know we take different approaches to our religion, but in truth, we all believe, or at least should
believe, in the basic idea that Christ is the heart
of our Church. Regardless of the church's name, you pronounce yourself CHRISTIAN because of your belief, faith, and devotion to Christ, not a bishop, or patriarch (for Assyrian Catholics), or even a pope (for Roman Catholics). Our salvation came from and STILL comes from Christ's love, and yet it seems to be the last thing anyone wants to remember or consider. Neither Mar Dinkha nor Mar Bawai (and you all know where my support goes) will save us. But not all church leaders make that
the foundation of their teachings.
Blueice: "Excuse my french but qam selitleh mokhee with your mar bawai posts"
Like I said im sure their proud to have you on their side.
if u want to say something like that u should PM him considering he said
khleeta.. u should know by now that some people dont read the full thread.. they just start yapping about anything to cause trouble..
Actually, I don't know this girl or where she is from, but if you go and read the entire thread posted by Peter about his confrontation with the priest, you will see that she posted earlier in the topic. And the comment she replied to (quoted above) was made later on, and didn't really have much to do with what was discussed before in the thread. In fact, Dennis' comment wasn't even about the thread's topic because Peter never mentioned or discussed his uncle, and although we know that's the general area of contention here, it was really about a specific instance that occurred between him, the priest, and the appointed shamasheh within that church.
And, come on, we all know that 95% of this could be done in PMs, but what's the point? We would miss some very important statements, opinions, and discussions, most of which are extremely valuable. Why is it okay for someone to say things publicly on this forum when they happen to agree with what you already believe, but if they don't, they're jumped on and asked to do it in "private"? This is a public forum, and the comment she made was in a cynically sarcastic tone to convey her views that happen to be very much different from his. Believe me, this is what these forums thrive on and what continues to make them interesting to me and many others.
