Assyrian language
« on: January 22, 2006, 08:32:45 PM »
hello,

This is a forum about History, Politics & religion and I decided to open a topic about History...I love history so I don't mind at all..

It's about the Assyrian language...I have asked many people and read many articles about our language and to be honest I still don't know the right answer..My question is: where does the origin of our language lie?

Some say we speak a mix of akkadian and aramean, some say we speak aramean etc etc.....

If someone can give me an answer or an article about this, I would be very grateful:)

Why this is important to me? well like there is seperation between the chaldean and assyrian...there is this seperation between suryoyo who claims to be assyrian and aramean...Arameans main argument is: because we speak the aramean language we all are aramean and assyrians does not excist any longer when jesus came...

well what do you know and what do you think?

Maybe our mistakes are what make our fate. Without them, what would shape our lives? Perhaps if we never veered off course, we wouldn't fall in love, or have babies, or be who we are. After all, seasons change. So do cities. People come into your life and people go. But it's comforting to know the ones you love are always in your heart. And if you're very lucky, a plane ride away.
