Miles from Raqqa

I was surprised to see they were that close. I'm not sure if the battle is going to take as long as Mosul and I don't trust the Kurds not to ethnically cleanse people, but it's a step in the right direction.

The Islamic State should've always been based around their "capital" of Raqqa. Pity that they also engulfed parts of northern Iraq. We really didn't need their filthy in our homeland.

Took  awhile, but both Mosul and Raqqa shall soon be liberated. They're finished without them. Basically just sitting in the desert.

Wait, I maybe slow here, but wasn't Mosul liberated earlier this year?

Check the map I posted. Fighting began last fall, but there's still a small pocket of ISIS remaining. Even then, it won't go away entirely for some time. No doubt the majority of the population supported ISIS.CNN sob stories fail to mention that.

Raqqa battle is VERY tough, SDF will surely take over the city. but they have to pay a high price.
Still cant understand what the Kurds want from a nearly 100% sunni arab city

I do not get it either , but I guess there is a deal was struck between PKK/PYD and the Syrian and Iranian regime . You scratch my back and I will scratch yours . Beside who can a Syrian regime trust now ? Pretty much all groups are fanatic Islamist except the kurds .

Over all I'm against the kurdish participation .

I guess they wanted to control huge cities like Raqa , Manbij and mabye Deir Ezzor in order to make pressure on Syrian government for their demands after the war is over. That matches good with USA's goal in Syria; defeat ISIS and less power to Bashar. Yet the the fate of YPG is not bright, because of their connection to PKK.

It is not VERY tough. Kurds will take the whole city within few weeks. YPG is just playing with those Sunni rats, like a cat with a small mouse.

YPG will finish them of.

Sunni Muslims (Al Baghdadi, Erdogan and Barzani) couldn't get a very small Kurdish town Kobani , but Kurds will get their so called capital Raqqa.

I'm 10000% for that Kurds will defeat those Sunni Muslims in their own home city. Also many Ezdi Kurds need to be liberated. And we need to avenge ourselves.

It is the hunting time to get Sunni Muslim subhuman monkeys. The more they got killed, the better it will be.

It is not very tough?? Latetly USA has increased their support (military vehicles and weapons ) to SDF so they can continue their war against ISIS. SDF has changed their strategy in Raqa, because they already lost many fighters. And that is why Yezidi fighters in Senjar attendet the Raqa battle. After several months of the war,  SDF has only taken 30% of the city, how can they take over the whole city in just few weeks?

Again, I have not doubt sdf and coalition forces capabilities, but the war against ISIS rats is not easy in big cities. Iraqi Special Forces lost nearly 1/3 of their forces in Mosul. Nobody wants to talk about their casualties and losses.

With EQUAL weapons Kurds can defeat Americans and Russians combined. And that's why the world is afraid of Kurds.
Sure thing buddy.
