YOUR STUFF
« on: April 20, 2005, 06:23:24 PM »
okay this is for all of you to use, you can put up any type of work you have done, as long as it's YOUR STUFF

you can put up everything (drawings, paintings, poem’s, songs, just about anything you have created in one way of another)

any as for my work, you can hate it, love it, like it, as long as you give your honest opinion, i really dont mind any kind of criticism

okay this is by far my fav. piece to date  :)

it's a scratch board, it's a paper that is covered with a layer if black ink, and what you do is leave the shadows and bring out the light in your figures

this is my brother when he was young :angel2:

AWESOME WORK EVERYONE!!

Alaha Naterokhoon! Really it's just spectacular.  You have all been blessed!

Well I don't draw much, so  I'll post the link to my poems again :
It is:  http://www.brightlady.com/cookie/viewforum.php?f=14

But here is my latest poem, I've written this last year, but I didn't post it online until now ... I hope you like it :angelnot:

I Miss

"I miss" - So much more, then I thought I ever would.
I miss the times where I felt the energy of a teenager was just the beginning.
I miss it like it was yesterday.
I miss thinking what's next for me.
I miss thinking life couldn't get any better then being 18.
I miss the way I used to be,
I miss the times where it was more then me.
I miss the days where things were planned.
Most of all... I miss YOU!
Because you are the one feeling that makes me miss it all.
I miss today, because yesterday is tomorrow's wish.

Thank you very much, assyrian_dude. Even though my Adobe Photoshop skills are limited, but its a very neat program to use  :angelnot:  As for the date of its release, it will be on June 1st 2005.....for free  :baby: . As for the Batman picture, it is one of the most time-consuming pieces I've done. Alot of patience has went into this piece. Would I do something like this again? It depends on the mood I am in  :artist:

Great pieces of your drawings as well, sir. Very cool

I've never shared any of my writings before but what the heck:

Most of what I write is a song yet to be put to music, so it's kinda hard to just write it out as I would sing it but I wrote this one during a very frustrating time in my walk with God. It's a rough draft anyway.

I had a prayer when I was younger
that I would say everyday
I had a prayer as a child
who am I kidding, nothing's changed.

I'd ask You to show me the way
to who I'm meant to be.
I need You to show me the path
to where I can finally see
only You, only You.

Chorus:
But I'm too afraid to ask, I'm too afraid to know
Where you want me to go.
I'm too afraid to hear, I'm to afraid to see
how Truth can set me free.
Your Truth can set me free...

My horizon is just a self-built wall
that I can't see through.
When darkness surrounds me
Will I prove to stand true?

I've grown with you some time now
And only time will make it clear.
But everyday I still question
How can I get near?
To You, to You....

But I'm too afraid to ask, I'm too afraid to know
Where you want me to go.
Im too afraid to hear, I'm to afraid to see
how Truth can set me free.
Your Truth can set me free...

If it was a song, there would be the breakdown and a few la de da's etc. ;-)

You know, I was trying to sing your lyrics in my mind hehe. In conclusion, it has good flow as you sing those bars. Even though its a rough draft, its pretty good. What would be even better is recording in audio  :band:

err, ummm, I don't know.
I guess I like the whole "work in progress" thing. It doesn't ever have to be right that way. I'm a bit of a perfectionist sometimes too. soooo um yeah, that's it.

Maybe Im confused with you so-called "excuse."

However, you can start practicing it until you get that perfect pitch, note, flow, rhymes, and delivery. Once you are all set, I'll bring my laptop and my microphone so we can see what you've accomplished thus far lol.  :nopity:

Basically, singing is a good hobby. And it sounds fun when you record the stuff you've accomplidhed and share them to your family and friends and your future children.

Hello. So all those pictures I posted were for nothing! (sigh) Well, for those of you who have seen my other works; I have a few more, but these are the first ones and are not as good as my recent work. If anyone wants to see something more recent I guess I can post them again, but some of the descriptions are too long to retype.

To make a long story short, I made these entirely from hand, from scratch. They aren't model kits, they are original works of art...if you can call it art. There are 12 pieces I started in 2001. They took along 2 to 10 weeks to make, working a couple hours everyday. They are all roughly 1.5 to 2 feet high and weigh anywhere from 3 lbs to 15 lbs. I use: wire, clay, plastic, wood, foam, acrylic paint and copper tubing. Other minor materials are: dowel, rubber tubing, rubber wire, wire insulate and gloss. Some even have working lights from a miniature doll house light kit I built into the pieces.

This is the first piece I made titled "Big Guns". The main color represented in this work is green.
[/img]

This is the second piece I made titled "Packing Heat". I called it this to play off the snow theme. The main color is white.
[/img]

This is the third piece titled "Stinger". I do not like the work I put into the "legs" so they are cut from the photo. The main color is blue.
[/img]

This is forth piece titled "Lady Justice". Again I am not going to show the legs because they are not done well. The main color is grey. These four works are my first attempts at sculpting and least favourite.
[/img]
