Is the original Santa Claus Assyrian?

I posted this topic about 10 years ago and I thought it is time we revisit it.

What do you think? Any chance the original Santa Claus was Assyrian or at least grew up near an Assyrian community?

nah, the original figure head of Santa Claus was Mar Nikolos (Saint Nicholas) who gave gifts to the poor.

He was born in Myra, Asian Minor which is now Demre, Turkey.

Since he was from Anatolia I wonder what his ethnicity would've been. Assyrian could've been likely.

Good observation man, just looked it up and it is indeed in south west (not east)! Actually, I didn't write it, I found the article somewhere else and just copied it here and way we went!

I guess this ends the debate and Santa Claus is not Assyrian after all (90% sure he is not!) lol....
